hope
"Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD.
Are there any among the false gods of the nations that can bring rain? Or can the heavens give showers? Art thou not he, O LORD our God? We set our hope on thee, for thou doest all these things.
Give glory to the LORD your God before he brings darkness, before your feet stumble on the twilight mountains, and while you look for light he turns it into gloom and makes it deep darkness.
Keep your feet from going unshod and your throat from thirst. But you said, `It is hopeless, for I have loved strangers, and after them I will go.'
Truly the hills are a delusion, the orgies on the mountains. Truly in the LORD our God is the salvation of Israel.
O LORD, the hope of Israel, all who forsake thee shall be put to shame; those who turn away from thee shall be written in the earth, for they have forsaken the LORD, the fountain of living water.
O thou hope of Israel, its savior in time of trouble, why shouldst thou be like a stranger in the land, like a wayfarer who turns aside to tarry for a night?
"But they say, `That is in vain! We will follow our own plans, and will every one act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart.'
Be not a terror to me; thou art my refuge in the day of evil.
There is hope for your future, says the LORD, and your children shall come back to their own country.
