as we wait for the blessed Day we hope for, when the glory of our great God and Saviour Jesus Christ will appear.
which is based on the hope for eternal life. God, who does not lie, promised us this life before the beginning of time,
so that by his grace we might be put right with God and come into possession of the eternal life we hope for.
To have faith is to be sure of the things we hope for, to be certain of the things we cannot see.
