They Had Never Seen This Sort Of Thing Before

On another occasion, Jesus healed a man who had been lame. When He performed this miracle the people reacted as we would expect anyone to act who witnessed a similar thing.

And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went out in the presence of them all, so that all were amazed and glorified God, saying, 'We never saw anything like this' (Mark 2:12).

On the Sea of Galilee Jesus performed another miracle like no one had ever seen:

And a wind storm came down on the lake, and they were filling with water, and were in jeopardy. And they came to him and awoke him saying, 'Master, Master, we are perishing!' Then he arose and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water. And they ceased, and there was a calm. But he said to them, 'Where is your faith?' And they were afraid, and marveled, saying one to another, 'Who can this be? For he commands even the winds and water, and they obey him!'
